1964

Where it all began...

Alain and Suzanne Autajon start their activities manufacturing folding cartons for the Pharmaceutical Industry in Montélimar (Drôme–France). The Autajon company was taken over by their son Gérard Autajon in 1992.

Market diversification

The company extends its activities to the Perfumery and Cosmetics markets.

Opening to the Wine & Spirits market (1985).

Building of a new factory for Luxury Packaging in Montélimar (1990).

New workshop for Rigid Boxes assembly (1992).

First external Growth

The acquisition of a company in Saint Étienne, Haubtmann, extends the activities of Autajon with the production of POS and packaging for the automobile, textile and confectionery sectors.

Autajon becomes a Group.

Building of a new factory for Haubtmann (1997).

2001

International Expansion

A German printing company, Landerer, specialized in the manufacture of folding cartons for perfumes & cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and confectionery, joins the Group.

After Germany, other acquisitions will take place in Switzerland (2002), Spain (2007) and Belgium (2007).

A new business : Labels

The purchase of a company producing wine labels is the start of a new line of business for the Autajon Group.

Vallée du Rhône (2002), Bourgogne (2004), Champagne (2004), Bordeaux (2005), Loire (2007), Switzerland (2008).

America, here we come ...

External growth policy led the Autajon Group to invest on the other side of the Atlantic with Cultech, a company located near New York, specialized in folding cartons for Perfumes & Cosmetics

Continuous development

Autajon Group's growth accelerates from 2006 to 2011, particularly through the acquisition of Bopack Group (6 sites for the production of industrial labels in France, Belgium and Netherlands).

Strengthening of the Group...

Autajon Group's expansion has led the individual companies to specialize in order to meet our customers' specific needs.

The Spanish model is a good example with 2 sites that are fully representative of each strategic business of the Group : Folding Cartons (Durero) and Labels (Sinel).

2014 / 2015

New extensions

Fincarta and Cograf join Autajon with sites in Italy and in the USA.

In addition, the Italian wine label printer Oga, and the Spanish specialist in labels for drinks & confectionery, Imprenta Moderna, also integrate the Group Autajon. Eikon (wine and oil labels) becomes the first Portuguese member of the Group.

The Italian Grafiche Seven brings the expertise of « in-mould labelling »

Ni hao China !

The 2 Chinese factories of Komark Co.,specialized in adhesive labels, join Autajon. Autajon Group is from now on able to accompany its major global customers into their asian growth.

USA : Autajon now on the West Coast !

The Californian company ‘Thoro Packaging’ joins the Autajon Group, strengthening it in the cosmetics sector and opening up the pharmaceutical market for the Group in the USA.

Two new companies specializing in packaging join the Autajon Group !

Zapp Packaging company located in California produces folding cartons for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and consumer goods.

Pacific Package, based in South Korea, manufactures folding cartons and rigid boxes for the cosmetics sector.

New packaging solutions in Portugal

GMT Gráficos, a Portuguese company specialized in the manufacture of folding cartons, gift boxes and small POS displays, joins the Autajon Group. This new acquisition strengthens the position of Autajon in Portugal and completes the range of services offered locally: packaging & labels.
