Creation & Design
The « birth » of a label is the result of an artistic research undertaken by our creative design studios that combines the effects of primary materials, different design techniques such as pen drawn, watercoulour, oil based paint, which are then assisted by computer design.
Once a design model proof is validated by the client, the creative design studio will proceed with a colour design print that is calibrated and then presented to the client. It is important to differenciate the 2 major major types of label :
|
Pre-Press
Starting with a colour design proof or a client design file, the Desktop publisher ensures the machine operability of the given files and brings together the graphic elements with the géometry ??? to produce a BAG????? (GOOD FOR PRINT) that will be validated by the client.
Methods
With the help of the client documents and validated pricing proposal, the « Methods » department will, with due respect to production best practices, develop the production of the label that involves :

Copy & Ink laboratories
Starting with the computerized files created by the desktop publishers, the copy laboratory will engrave the printing plates and film thanks to the CTP and CTF(Computer to plate and Computer to Film) technology that ensure the highest print quality and the most reliable reproduction capability.
In parallel, the ink laboratory researches and formulates the specific colour hues requested by the clients.
The inks are prepared by a colour expert that are then furnished to the production shop.
The specific colour formulas are archived in our computer data bank.
Printing
The printing process is launched once the coulour hues are validated by the client.
The different types of printing (Offset, Flexography, screen and digital printing) permits a wide variety of coulours and printing surfaces (shiny, opaque, sparkles)<
During the printing of self-adhesive labels, the machine can, online, undertake all of the types of printing effects such as screen printing, gold stamping, film coating, embossing and cutting.
Gold stamping & Film coating
Gold stamping is frequently used to empart upon the labels a luxurious appearance.
Gold, silver, coloured or special holographic effects, the hot stamping is undertaken with gold film tools.
The film coating consists of fascening a brilliant, opaque or satin transparent film to embellish or protect the label.
Cutting & Embossing
At this point, the embossing and stamping phases are possible and are undertaken with the help of specific tools.
It is also possible to include Braille.
Packaging of the finished product
At this stage, the rolls of labels are packaged and ready for expediting to the client.
It is frequent that we undertake a additional phase so as to specifically package the rolls according to the specific written requests of our clients in their work and quality manual (precise number of lables per roll, weight of a given roll or specific diameter of the roll).
In this way we can ensure a final inspection before the expedition of the products.
